How to Install Civ World

Civ world is a custom server requiring forge and a number of mods to function so to join the server these mods need installing.

Currently we have two methods of installation:

Option 1 Standard Install on Vanilla Minecraft

Step 1) Download Forge 

https://files.minecraftforge.net/net/minecraftforge/forge/index_1.16.5.html 
You need to select version 36.2.0

Step 2) Installing Forge

You will need to boot up the forge file and select the client installation. (note you may need to install java if Forge is not appearing as an Executable java file to correctly boot up Forge)

Once installed you need to boot up your MC in the new Forge setting found on your MC launcher and open a world. Close MC


Step 3) Installation of Mods

now use your run console (windows key + R) and search %appdata%. Go into .minecraft -> Mods. If no mod folder appears you may need to repeat the last step again

Then download the Mod folder http://falazar.com/projects/civworld/civworldmods.zip. Then extract the .zip file into the mods folder.

Step 4) Join the server

Boot up your MC launcher, make sure you select your forge version and boot and you should be able to connect to the server IP: civcraft.minetexas.com
